Plates made from a sandy stoneware with hand-carved rims in a pebble white matte glaze. There is variation in the glaze where thinner and thicker, as well as the occasional speck form the iron in the clay. These are great every-day plates and are dishwasher safe. They vary slightly in size but roughly measure a little over 8"
